Troy was born in Sparta, on September 9, 1974 to Gerald and Erna Mae (Braund) Wagner. Upon graduation from high school Troy went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonna, MN. He then moved to Seattle, WA where he met the love of his life, Tonya Marie Smith. They married on April 21, 2001 and soon became parents to a son Jude on January 11, 2004.

Troy found it to be his calling to be of service in caring for others. He was charismatic and easy to love and was adored by all who took the time to get to know him. He had a way of making folks feel wanted, appreciated and valuable to the extent of opening his house to the homeless. Troy was very creative and passionate about life as expressed in his writing and photography.

Troy is survived by his wife Tonya, his son Jude, his mother Erna Mae, his brother Chad (Mary) Wagner, his sister Tracy (Jason) Goin, and by his In-laws Jay (Jill) Decker, and brother and sister-in law Tylor Decker and Sarah (Brandon) Kraus.

He was preceded in death by  his father Gerald in 1977, a brother Todd in 2013 and his maternal grandparents Irvin (Bertha) Braund.

God bless our memories of Troy and his gentle-spirited nature.
