Phillip Hoffland, 68, of Viroqua, died Monday, September 24, 2018.

Phillip E. Hoffland, age 68 of Viroqua, passed away at UW Health in Madison on Monday September 24, 2018.

 

Phil was born on April 8, 1950 to Palmer Sr. and Georgia (Weber) Hoffland in Viroqua, Wisconsin. He was confirmed at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, in Viroqua, and was a graduate of Viroqua High School. A friendly and patient bachelor for most of his life, he liked things simple. Over the years, Phil worked at the Borden ‘cheese warehouse’ in Viroqua, then for Safeway Food’s cheese warehouse in Onalaska. The job he enjoyed the most was as a courier for Fortress Bank in Westby. He later worked in production at VARC in Viroqua.

Phil was an organ donor.

 

Phil is survived by; his brother Palmer “Duffy” (Martha) Hoffland, his nieces Jennifer (David) Noble and Rebecca (Brian) Rady, his grand niece and nephews Kara Rady and Kyle Rady and Tyler and Tate Noble, also his sister-in-law Penny Hoffland, his nephew Lukas Hoffland and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by: his parents and one brother John Hoffland.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, in Viroqua. Pastor Yvonne Marshall will officiate with burial following in Viroqua Cemetery. Friends may call during a visitation on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 pm at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home in Viroqua. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am till the time of service.
