Catharine M. Kitty Roth

Catharine M. (Kitty) Roth, 95 of Viroqua, WI passed away Monday, November 6, 2006 at Vernon Manor, Viroqua, where she had been a resident for five years. She was a devoted Catholic and a member of St. Marys Catholic Church. She was born December 27, 1910 in Montreal, Canada to James and Elizabeth (Reynolds) Hayes. She was united in marriage to Walter E. Roth on March 11, 1950. She lived in Lewiston, NY until moving to Wisconsin in 1972. Catharine is survived by her daughter, Cathy (Ray) Hanson of Viroqua; two granddaughters, Veronica Bruce of LaCrosse and Pamela Hanson of Knoxville, TN and a Great-Granddaughter, Mackenzie Bruce of Holmen. Also surviving are her niece, Diana Mae (Robert) Smith of Metter, GA; two nephews, Lee (Marlene) Wilson of St. Louis Park, MN; and Robert Wilson of Palm Springs, CA. Also surviving are several great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter; a sister, Henrietta Wilson, a brother Bernard Hayes, and her twin brother, Francis Hayes. Upon cremation, interment will be beside her husband at Niagara Falls Memorial Part Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. The family wishes to thank Father Cook and the members at St. Marys for all their prayers and visitations, Dr. Feltes and the wonderful staff at Vernon Manor who made Catharines stay with them as comfortable as possible They have our utmost respect and gratitude.
