Cynthia "Cindy" Ann Manske

Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Manske, age 67, of Coon Valley passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 22, 2023. She was born on August 30, 1956, to the late George and Evonell (Sagmoen) Wyman. Cindy attended Bloomingdale Elementary School and graduated from Westby High School. After graduating, she received her associate degree as a secretary with academic honors from Western Wisconsin Technical Institute in 1976.

On August 16, 1975, Cindy married DuWayne Manske at Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. They lived their whole lives in Coon Valley where they raised their two boys. Cindy worked as a secretary for Trane Co. in La Crosse for 40 years until her retirement.

She was involved in many different organizations, including being part of the knitting circle, book club, and playing Bunko at the library, singing in the choir, and reading during church services at Coon Valley Lutheran Church. Cindy enjoyed playing Mexican Train with her good friend, Hannah, discussing books she would listen to with her son, Tony, and assisting Jamie in the office at Coon Valley Lutheran Church. She was the pie maker of the family, known for having small recipes written down in her kitchen that she wanted to try. Cindy traveled to the east coast many times to visit her son and his family. When Cindy visited her granddaughters, she always made sure they could spend a special day together. She enjoyed travelling to the west coast to visit her sister, Sandy, and to Nebraska for family reunions. Family was the most important thing to Cindy, especially her two sons, Tony and Brian, of which she was immensely proud of.

Cindy will be greatly missed for her kind and soft heart and for always having a loving, selfless, and positive attitude towards her family, friends, and life. Her beautiful smile will be remembered by all who were able to experience the kind nature of Cindy.

Cindy is survived by her two sons, Tony (Gabrielle) and Brian; two granddaughters, Madison and Davynn; her siblings: David, Dale (Julie), Sandra, Daniel (Pandora), Andrew (Cherice), and Scott (Kim); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, DuWayne; two nephews, Devon and Ethan; and her father-in-law, Arlin Manske.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Coon Valley Lutheran Church. A luncheon will be held at the church after the service. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby. The family of Cindy would invite everyone to wear some sort of purple as it was her favorite color. A private burial will be held at Dell Cemetery.
