Donna Mae Oliphant age 76 of LaFarge, passed peacefully at home on Friday, Oct. 27, 2006. She was born Jan. 9, 1930 in Corning, NY to Frank & Florence (Emhke) Thrall. On Jan. 20, 1956 she was united in marriage to Darrell Oliphant in Kansas. They farmed in rural LaFarge until Darrells passing on March 14, 1985. Donna loved to crochet and in later years greatly enjoyed watching "her birds". She also enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers. Donna is survived by her children: Glen (Carla) Oliphant of LaFarge, Mark (Karen) Oliphant, Randy (Lori) Oliphant of Appleton, Rebecca (Paul) Goluecke of Poynette, and Darren (Jackie) Oliphant of Ft Richardson, Alaska. (Darren is currently serving his county in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.); 13 grandchildren: Stacey, Nikki, Darrell, Brittany, Ryan, Cody, Brody, Gwendolyn, Jaycie, Matthew, David, Victoria and Justin; five great-grandchildren: Vincent, Keaton, Gavan, Aidan and Finnegan; cherished friend and neighbor "Aunti" Ruth Clark; special friend David Schlafer; six siblings: Georgia Pelwinski of Corning NY, William Thrall of Kings Park, NY, Dorothy Huggler of Elmira, NY, Lawrence Thrall of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Grace Murphy of Bath, NY, and Gene Thrall of Corning, NY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell; her son David Wayne Oliphant; and three siblings: Frank Thrall Jr., Mabel Morse, and Mary Ann Louis. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the LaFarge Free Methodist Church. Pastor Mark Phillips will officiate with burial in the Bear Creek Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
