Duane Simonson

Duane A. Simonson, 58, of Viroqua, died on December 22, 2015. He was born April 6, 1957 to Harold "Bert" and Margaret (Nelson) Simonson. Duane graduated from Viroqua High School in 1975. He was a lifelong member of Kickapoo United Lutheran Church. Duane was involved in farming his entire life, and there was no make of tractor better than a Massey Ferguson. He enjoyed listening to country music, and in his younger days liked going to dances at many local establishments. Duane is survived by his brother, Larry; sisters: Donna (Alan) Clark, and Reta (Patrick "Joe") Keenan; niece and nephews: Richard (Chas) Clark, Amy Schulz, Joshua (Sara) Keenan, Mark Keenan, and Steven Keenan; great nieces and nephews: Landon Clark, Travis Schulz, Patrick, Gunnar, Madelynn, and Samantha Keenan. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a niece, Danielle Keenan. Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Kickapoo United Lutheran Church. Pastor Charles Miller will officiate with burial to follow in the Kickapoo United Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-3 pm on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home in Viroqua. Friends may also call at the church on Monday from 12pm till the time of service at 1.
