Geraldine "Jerry" E. HaunMarch 29, 2005 Geraldine "Jerry" E. Haun, age 85 of Viroqua, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at Gundersen-Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse. She was born on April 27, 1919 in Viroqua to Adolph and Violet (Ostrander) Olson. She worked at the Viroqua Creamery and then McClurg Motors which became Schmidt Motors in Viroqua. She married Murrel "Mungo" M. Haun on October 5, 1940. Mungo passed away on July 12, 1986. She served as Viroqua City Clerk from 1973 until her retirement in 1984. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Viroqua, WELCA and Elizabeth Circle. She was a charter member of the Viroqua Eagles Auxiliary. Jerry enjoyed volunteer work, gardening and her card clubs. Jerry also had a deep appreciation and love for her family. She is survived by three sons: Jon Haun, William Haun and Richard (Deb) Haun, all of Viroqua; one daughter, Nancy (Daniel) Thompson of Viroqua; four grandchildren: Kariane Haun and Aaron (Heidi Martinson) Cade of Viroqua, Kyle Nelson of Holmen, and Kaila (Mark) Langrehr of Westby; four great-grandchildren: Devin, Danielle and Dylan Langrehr, and Austin Schulze-Nelson; one sister: Neola Olson of Viroqua; two brothers: Gary (Marge) Olson of LaCrosse and Howard (Sue) Olson of Sparta; Stephanie and Kiernan Steiner; nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother and father; one brother, Eldridge "Al" Olson; two sisters: Verlaine Harris and Evelyn Romanshek and her niece, Sandra Hanson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2005 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Viroqua. Pastor Kristen Schlauderaff will officiate with burial in the Viroqua Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker St. in Viroqua. Friends may also call on Saturday after 10:00 a.m. at the Church.
