Gladys Myhre

Gladys E. Myhre age 85 of La Crosse, died Monday, March 14, 2016 at Mayo Health Care in La Crosse. She was born on August 15, 1930 to Elmer and Ottila (Goplin) Anderson. On September 11, 1948 she was united in marriage to Tennie Myhre. Together they farmed for several years first on Pumpkin Ridge and later on East Ridge prior to moving to La Crosse. Gladys worked in the La Crosse Garment Factory, Jack Winters, and retired from LaCro. Gladys played cards everyday since her retirement, either with family or friends. She also enjoyed crafting with plastic canvas. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Galstad of Coon Valley; two sons Larry (Alice) Myhre of La Crosse and Rodney (Phyllis) Myhre of La Crosse; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, June Anderson; nieces and nephews; In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tennie Myhre in 2002; one brother, Clifford Anderson and one sister Alice Widner; son-in-law, Richard Galstad and granddaughter, Melissa Galstad. In lieu of plants or flowers, memorials may be given to the Coon Prairie Cemetery Association. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby. Burial will follow in the Coon Prairie Cemetery.
