Janet Roehl, age 92 of Westby, died Tuesday, November 13, 2007. Janet Roehl, age 92 of Westby, died Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital. She was born in Stoughton, WI on January 20, 1915 to Ben and Olga (Johnson) Logan. On August 9, 1937 she married La Verne Roehl. Janet owned and operated a retail clothing store and worked as a Dental Hygienist for 12+ years. She was a member of WCP, WELCA, Viroqua Country Club, Legion Auxiliary, Westby Garden Club, and a member of the Westby Syttende Mai committee.Janet is preceded in death by her parents; Ben and Olga Logan; husband La Verne Roehl; and sister Aashild Douglas.She is survived by her son Peter (Nancy) Roehl of Oconomowoc, WI; grandsons Daniel (Shiloh) Roehl of Alexandria, VA; Michael (Courtney) Roehl of Hartland, WI; Great-Grandchildren; Mike, Gavin, Clayton, Sophia, and Cole; nieces and nephews- Pat (Lincoln) Stafslien, Jerry (Mary) Douglas, Donna (Richard) Bean, Deb (Grant) Stromstad, Jim (Kathy) Douglas, and their families.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2007, at Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. Pastor Julie Wollman will officiate with burial in The Coon Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday, at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church or the Westby First Responders. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
