John Oswald

John Eldon Oswald Sr., 79, of La Farge, WI, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2014 at Vernon Manor in Viroqua. John was a proud member of Operating Engineers Local 139 for 50+ years. After retirement he enjoyed traveling, livestock auctions, and being with family and friends. John will be remembered for many things, especially his quick wit and sense of humor. John is survived by his wife, Norma, of 58 years; daughters: Debra (Jim) Hoffman, Judy Carlson, and daughter-in-law Dawn Oswald; mother, Evelyn Georgeson; sister, Dorothy Church; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. John is preceded in death by his father, Erwin Oswald; son, John (Shorty); daughter, Linda; grandson, Matthew; and sister Elaine Daniel. By Johns request there will be no funeral or memorial services. The Vosseteig Funeral Homes of Viroqua and Westby are serving the family.
