Lawrence "Cowboy" Rutter, 81, of West Salem, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Lawrence "Cowboy" Rutter, 81, of West Salem, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Lakeview Health Center Nursing Home. Lawrence was born March 30, 1930 to William and Selma (Olson) Rutter in Crawford County. He has resided at Lakeview for many years where he was affectionately known as "Cowboy." He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers James, Clifford, William, Orris and LaFrances Rutter; and sister Leona Munson. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 9, at Freeman Lutheran Church Cemetery. Pastor Doug Andersen will officiate. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
