Margaret Yanske, age 77 of Westby, died Thursday, December 17, 2015. Margaret Yanske, age 77 of Westby, died Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Vernon Manor Nursing Home in Viroqua. She was born on August 29, 1938 in Hillsboro, Wisconsin to John and Emma (Winchel) Blaha. Margaret graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1958. On August 23, 1958 she was united in marriage to Don Yanske. Margaret loved to garden, cook and was especially proud of her family. In addition to raising tobacco with her family, she worked at the Bethel Home for 10 years. In addition to her husband, Don, she is survived by her children: Donald Yanske, Jr. of Brownsville, Texas, Chris (Karla) Yanske of Viroqua, Tammy (Monte) Bankes of Westby, and Douglas Yanske of Coon Valley; seven grandchildren: Adam, Ryan and Brittany Bakkestuen, Erek Devine, Nicholas and Alyssa Yanske and Hunter Yanske; two great-grandchildren: Dakota and Mason Bakkestuen; siblings: Marcella (Ed) Colson, Alfred (Lois) Blaha, Joan (Otto) Zinke, Daniel Blaha, and Patricia Blaha; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by parents; her twin brother, Maynard; sister Ernestine Davis; two nephews: Everett and Little John Colson. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Hwy 14 in Westby. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor John Dumke will officiate with burial in the Our Saviors Cemetery.
