Opal Dank, 87, of Westby, died Friday, April 10, 2015. Opal Mae Dank, 87, of Westby, a passionate lover of Christ, passed away Friday, April 10th, 2015 at The Bland Bekkedal Center for Hospice Care. Opal was the daughter of John and Rebecca Mae Hanson of Ontario, WI. She attended Hillsboro high school and married Norman Dank of Hillsboro August 1, 1945. They had 4 children: Sharon Dahl (Ronald Dahl) of Westby, Karen Ritterhouse (Jim Ritterhouse) of Phoenix, AZ, Roger Dank of Phoenix, AZ and Lyle Dank of Lexington, KY. Opal helped on the farm and worked as a nursing assistant. In her spare time she could be found in her garden, quilting or playing cards. She loved God and people. She was baptized in the World Wide Church of God in 1970 and responsible for bringing many lives to know Christ. Over the last few years she spent the majority of her life studying the bible and sharing it with everyone she knew. She is survived by four children; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one brother, Gerald Hanson of Ontario; and one sister, Darlene Rumppe of Westby. She was preceded in death by her husband Norman; two sisters: Norma McGinnis and Emogene Bassett; three brother-in-laws; grandson Eric Dahl; and granddaughter Maria Dank. Opal will be remembered for her unconditional love and her heart for the Lord. A life well lived. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Vosseteig Funeral Home (708 S Main St, Hwy 14) in Westby. Pastor David Schreiber will officiate with burial to follow in the Home Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 10 a.m. till the time of service at 11.
