He received designation as a Master Cheesemaker in 2004. Richard was part of the La Farge Fire Department and Lions Club, both for 15 years. Richard and Gloria purchased land in La Farge from Richards dad, where they built a new home and raised their two daughters in and still reside. He enjoyed hunting deer, small game, and mushrooms on his land. He had a great love for his dogs.
