Richard Robertson

Richard Robertson, 84, of DeSoto, died Thursday, July 31, 2014 He was born on September 8, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to Frank and Beulah (nee Buck) Robertson. On September 5, 1953 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Arneson in Wykoff, Minnesota. Richard served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked as a Logger and was an avid River Rat, who loved fishing, trapping and hunting, he especially enjoyed waterfowl hunting. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Robertson; children, Steven (Julie) Robertson, David (Dawn) Robertson, Thomas (Dawn) Robertson, Lynn (John) Omelian and Nanci (Garry) Denman; grandchildren, Luke, Linnea, Ryan, Renee, Matt, Erich, Dan, Becky, Jimmy and Jessica; many great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Robertson; sisters, Judy Hanrahan and Patsy Haskey. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death his brother, James Robertson. Private family services were held. The Vosseteig Larson Funeral Home of DeSoto is serving the family
