Wilda M Blair, age 98, died Sunday March 20, 2016 at Bethel Home in Viroqua. Wilda May Blair, age 98, died Sunday March 20, 2016 at Bethel Home and Services in Viroqua. She was born in Holmen, Wisconsin on May 9, 1917 to Even and Laura (Casberg) Solberg. Wilda graduated from Holmen High School and then from LaCrosse Teachers College. She taught school in Turtle Lake, Tomah and Viroqua, all in Wisconsin. Wilda married James Blair in the Holmen Lutheran Church on June 13, 1942. Wilda is survived by her two sons, Robert James (Lynne) Blair of Milton WI and William James (Bonny) Blair of Las Vegas, Nevada, 4 grandchildren Daniel (Jon Newson) Blair of Lindenhurst IL, Derrick (Jennifer) Blair of Bristol WI, Mark (Kevin Clark) Blair of Austin TX, and Dawn Blair of Summerville SC. Also surviving is one brother Robert Solberg of Holmen WI, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, brothers Carl and Milton, and sisters Edna Tabbert and Gretchen Thomas. Funeral services for Wilda will be Monday March 28, 2016 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Viroqua. Pastor Kenneth Meunier will officiate with burial following at the Viroqua Cemetery. Friends may call during a visitation one hour prior from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at the Church. Memorials, in lieu of flowers or plants, may be directed to Bethel Home and Services or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church both in Viroqua.
