Agnes Everson, 92, of Viroqua died Friday, December 13, 2013 Agnes Marie Everson, 92, of Viroqua passed away at her home on Friday, December, 13, 2013. She was born August 27, 1921 to Olie and Edna (Rose) Salmonson. After attending Cashton High School and Vernon County Teachers College, she taught for a short time. On May 20 , 1942 she was united in marriage to Edward Everson. After their marriage they farmed the Everson Family farm until the death of her husband when she moved to Viroqua. She was a faithful member of the Kickapoo United Lutheran Church, Ruth Circle and Ladies Aide, served as church secretary, and taught Sunday school. She was active in the community as a 4-H Leader and assisted in the restoring of the Folsom School House. Agnes enjoyed baking, quilting, and making lefse and molsa. She loved to travel and her last trip this summer was with her three daughters to see the "Tall Ships" in Duluth. She was a very caring, understanding, and loving mother. Visitors who came to her home were served coffee and donuts. She is survived by her daughters: Mary Tryggestad, of Viroqua, Jane (Roger) Grant, of Sun Prairie, and Judy (Jim) Johnson, of Cottage Grove; 12 grandchildren: Todd (Julie) Tryggestad, Susan (Roger) Conaway, Lance (Tina) Tryggestad, Bradley (Vickie) Everson, Brian (Lynn) Everson, Amy (Dan) Martin, Jenny (Mark) Knutson, Corbin Grant, Nicole (Eddie) Miller, Travis (Mindy) Grant, Jodi (Andy) Hamilton, and Jeff ( fiancee Meghan) Johnson; 18 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren; Brother-in-law James Daines; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband on October 12, 1999; her son, Roger in 1975; her sister Evelyn Daines; her brother Leonard Larson; and her son-in-law Lynn Tryggestad. Funeral Services will be held at 11 A.M. on December 17, 2013 at the Kickapoo United Lutheran Church in Soldiers Grove. Rev. Curt Matz will officiate with burial to follow. Friends may call from 4-6 P.M. on Monday, December 16 , 2013 at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W Decker (Hwy 56), in Viroqua. Friends may also call at the church on Tuesday from 10 A.M. till the time of service at 11. In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be sent to the Kickapoo United Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
