Agnes Maria Henrikson

Agnes Maria Henrikson, age 88 of Viroqua, died on Sunday, July 23, 2006 at the Vernon Manor Nursing Home in Viroqua. She was born April 13, 1918 in Viroqua to Ole and Maria (Lee) Henrikson. She graduated from Viroqua High School and the University of Wisconsin Madison where she majored in Journalism. She then returned home to care for her mother. She enjoyed reading, working the family farm, and was a good neighbor. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Viroqua. Agnes is survived by her nieces and nephews: Kenneth Henrikson of Walker, MN; Barbara Theis (Robert Peterson) of Viroqua; Cindy (Frank) Hood of LaCrosse; Mark Henrikson of Michigan; Thor (Mary Jane) Henrikson of Indiana; Mike (Leslie) Henrikson of Genoa; Sonja Faltynowicz of Bossier City, Louisiana; Alan (Nancy) Henrikson of Darien, Illinois; Donna (Henry) Hayden of Westby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Adolph (Doris) Henrikson, Martin (Ruby) Henrikson, Thorsten (Margaret) Henrikson, and Alfred Henrikson; and one nephew, Ron Henrikson. Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2006 at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 West Decker (Hwy 56) in Viroqua. Pastor Lindsay Jordan will officiate. Friends may call at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of plants and flowers the family requests memorials be given to the McIntosh Memorial Library in Viroqua. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
