Alan "Al" Gordon Nemec

Alan G. Nemec, age 37, of La Farge, unexpectedly passed away as the result of a car accident on Monday, May 18th, 2020. He was born in Viroqua on October 9, 1982, to Gordon and Denise (Howard) Nemec. Al graduated from La Farge High School in 2002, where he enjoyed playing football for the Wildcats and was a member of the FFA. Upon graduation Al began working for S & S Cycle, where he remained employed for nearly 18 years. He found inspiration and hope from his work and enjoyed working alongside numerous friends and family. He had a tremendous work ethic and paid exceptional attention to detail, which will be greatly missed. Al had a tremendous talent for working on motors and fixing cars. Al spent much of his childhood building and racing go-karts with his cousins, riding dirt bikes and four wheelers, and traveling with family and friends to ride on trails. Al also loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking and building trails on the family farm and playing cards and bean bags with family. Al’s children, Evan (14) and Carissa (10), meant the world to him and brought him immense pride. He enjoyed sharing his passion for mechanics with them and teaching them how to ride and fix four wheelers and dirt bikes. He also loved spending time with his nieces and making them laugh. Al’s significant other, Kristalee, was his rock and brought him genuine joy and happiness. Everyone who knew Al enjoyed his unique sense of humor. He was a genuine friend who would help anyone when they needed it. Al was a father, son, grandson, brother, nephew, boyfriend, and friend who will be dearly missed. Al is survived by his son, Evan; daughter Carissa; parents Gord and Denise; sister Steph (Matt) Fencl; brother Bry (Stacy) Nemec; significant other Kristalee Frank and her daughter Valerie Berry. He is also survived by his grandmothers Marge Nemec, Sandie Howard; beloved nieces Sidney and Taylor Fencl, Emma and Elly Nemec; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bud Nemec and Tom Howard. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, a private family service will be held on Saturday, May 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at the La Farge Free Methodist Church, 214 S. Cherry St. The service will be live streamed on the La Farge Free Methodist Facebook page. All who knew Al are invited to take part in a memorial ride processional beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the church. Drive your motorcycle, hot rod, or whatever you enjoy driving, just as Al did. A public Celebration of Al's life will be held at a later date. Online Condolences may be expressed at www.vossfh.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Farmers State Bank in La Farge.
