Alan Harold Lovstad

Alan Harold Lovstad, age 57, of Westby died Friday, April 14, 2006 at the Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse. Alan was born in LaCrosse on March 1, 1949 to Harold and Adelyn (Kamperschroer) Lovstad. He graduated from Westby High School and entered the Army. Alan served in Veitnam from December 1969 to December 1970. After serving in the Army, he farmed and worked for Accelerated Genetics. He married Patricia on August 17, 1999. Alan is survived by his wife Patricia of Westby; one step-son John (Lisa) Young of LaFarge; two cousins raised as his brothers, Steven (Jennifer) Kamperschroer, and their son, Collin of Virginia Beach, VA; Bruce (Irma) Kamperschroer of St. Paul, MN and their children Kelly(Patrick) Cox and their daughter Delaney, of Newport News, VA; and Eric (Serena) Kamperschroer of St. Paul, MN. He is also survived by his aunts: Lucille Schmidt of LaCrosse; Irene Kraby of Westby; and Olive Zebell of LaCrosse; and Helen Von Ruden of Cashton; his uncle John (Phyllis) Kamperschroer of Racine; his parents in law John and Evelyn McCormick of Soldiers Grove, WI; three sisters in law Teresa McCormick of Viola; Bernadette (Mike) Bergman of Milton, WI; and Diana McCormick of Soldiers Grove, WI; his nephew, Kyle Gleichauf of Milton; his nieces Crystal Gleichauf of Milton and Jenny and Rachel Meyer of Gays Mills. Alan was preceded in death by his parents, and aunts and uncles. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the North Coon Prairie Church , rural Cashton (Newry), with Pastor John Stennes-Spidahl officiating. Friends may call at the church from 12:00 noon until the time of the service on Saturday. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
