Alberta June Stevenson, 82 of Ferryville died Wednesday, June 5, 2013. Alberta June Stevenson of Ferryville passed away suddenly at her home Wednesday June 5th 2013 at the age of 82. June was born on the family farm in Folsom Wisconsin on June 24, 1930 to Harvey and Eliza (Hill) Jones. She married Adolph Stevenson on November 10, 1948. They enjoyed 64 years of marriage together. She was a member of the Utica Lutheran Church- WELCA, Miriam Esther Circle, and enjoyed quilting. June enjoyed cooking for her family and there was always good food and a clean home waiting for them. She always put her familys needs before her own. These past years she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She helped her husband on the family farm raising a garden and chickens and helping with chores. She also enjoyed feeding hummingbirds and her flowers. She is survived by: her husband Adolph Stevenson of Ferryville; her children: Gloria (Fred) Wolff of Deerfield WI, Jeff Stevenson of Ferryville, Robert (Cathy) Stevenson of DeSoto, Rebecca (Joe) Falkers of Viroqua, and Lori ( Ed) Copus of Ferryville; 10 Grandchildren; six Great Grandchildren; two sisters: Orla Simonson of Readstown, and Cleo Yttri of Viroqua; one brother, Harold (Pat) Jones; three sister-in-laws: Edith Emerson, Joyce (Norman) Fryseth, and Bernilda McDowell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: two brothers: Harland Jones, and Raymond Jones; two sisters: Marian Winger, and Merle Krogan; three brothers-in-law: Ivan Stevenson, Alvin Emerson, and Elmer McDowell: and one sister-in-law Evelyn Stevenson. Blessed be our memory of Alberta June Stevenson Funeral services will be held on Monday June 10, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Utica Lutheran Church. Pastor Nile Sandeen will officiate with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church Monday after 11 a.m. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Gays Mills is serving the family.
