Alf Erickson

WESTBY Alf H. Erickson, age 80 years, of rural Westby, Wisconsin, passed away on November 7, 2016 at Norseland Nursing Home. He was born on March 26, 1936 to Alfred and Hannah (Noringseth) Erickson at Russel Valley, Wisconsin. He served with the U.S. Army during Korean Conflict time. Betty was united in marriage to Alf Erickson on April 18, 1964 in Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin. He retired from Heartland Country Co-op of Westby. He was a life member of Westby VFW Post 8021. Survivors include his wife, Betty; children, Eugene (Brenda) Jacobson of Brodhead, Edward (Sarah) Erickson of Cashton, Judy Moe (Richard Koenig) of Westby, Alan (Samantha) Erickson of Cashton, Tina (Michael) Sass of Eyota, MN; grandchildren, Erik Jacobson, Cassandra Brown (Christopher Brewster), Connor Brown, Alex and Darci Erickson, and Taylor and Tyler Sass; great granddaughter Maci Brewster; step grandchilderen, Nick Ripley, Casey (Heath) Duxbury, Georgia (Mark) Huntzicker, Erica Thompson, Trent Thompson, and Shelbi (Kyle) Poeppel; step Great grandchildren, Braeden and Memphis Brewster and McKenzie Poeppel, sisters, Helen Holen of Westby, Elvera (Bob) Radloff of Janesville; and sister-in-law Marilyn (Raymond) Solberg of Beloit. He was preceded in death by his parents and by three brothers Bennett, Hilbert and Charles; and two sisters Stella Geier and Jeannette Soltau. Memorial Funeral Services will be held on November 10, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. Pastor Julie Wollman will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in the Country Coon Prairie Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 11 am to 1 pm at the church. In Lieu of flowers or plans, memorials are preferred.
