Alice Nuetzel

Alice Nuetzel, 95, of Viroqua, died Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Alice was born on June 4, 1921 to Severt and Anna (Olson) Virak. She graduated from Viroqua High School and moved to the Milwaukee area. She married Roland Nuetzel on March 17, 1945 and they spent most of their married life in Milwaukee. Alice worked at Alice Chalmers and WH Brady for many years before Roland died in 1967. After his death she moved back to the Viroqua area to be closer to her sister. Alice enjoyed listening to music and helping with crafts after she entered the Bethel Home, where she had been a resident since 2010. Alice is survived by her son, Russell Nuetzel (Jude Johnson); two grandsons: Nathan and Caleb Espinoza; granddaughter, Judy Nuetzel; Nieces, Nephews, and many other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roland; granddaughter, Serena Espinoza; two sisters: twin sister, Alda, and Gladys Gilbertson; and a brother, Alvin Olson. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. Friends may call from 10 am till the time of service at 11.
