Alida Pauline Hanson

Alida Pauline HansonDecember 10, 2005 Alida Pauline Hanson, age 89 formerly of Coon Valley and Westby, died Saturday, December 10, 2005 at the Vernon Manor Nursing Home in Viroqua. She was born on February 26, 1916 in Vernon Co. to Alfred and Selma (Rude) Lunde. She was baptized and confirmed in the Westby-Coon Prairie Lutheran Church and was a lifetime member. She graduated from Westby High School in 1935 and spent her entire lifetime in the Westby area. On October 11, 1937 she married Oscar Engh and they were later divorced. She worked at the Vernon Memorial Hospital from 1954 to 1960. On April 9, 1960 she married Albion Hanson. Alida is survived by three daughters: Annetta (Ervin) Schultz of Elroy, WI, Judy (James) Beaver of Hillsboro, WI, and Darlene (Laurel) Hestetune of Soldiers Grove, WI; one son, Arthur (Barbara) Engh of La Crosse; 15 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; two brothers: Manly Lunde of Viroqua and Harry Lunde of Glendale, AZ; one sister, Lilah Swiggum of Westby. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albion; her parents; son-in-law, Robert Robson; two grandsons: Thomas Robson and Scott Schultz, Jr.
