Allen Ray Springborn, a selfless, handy, and gentle soul, passed away on June 23, 2023, in Victory, Wisconsin. He was born on December 29, 1953, to the late Herman and Esther (Warren) Spring and Allen lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a passion for the outdoors.
A proud graduate of De Soto High School, Allen went on to have a successful career in the trades after receiving a certificate from Western Technical College. He dedicated many years of his life to the Dairyland Cooperative Powerplant in Genoa, where he was known for his strong work ethic and attention to detail. He later became a skilled welder at Brennan Construction in French Island, where his talents were highly regarded by both his colleagues and clients.
Allen married the love of his life, Margaret Townsend at De Soto Lutheran Church on May 5, 1984, and together they had three children: Zack, Shannon, and Jason. Allen and Margaret started their family in Red Mound until later moving to their home in Victory.
Allen was an active member of his community and was involved with helping out his neighbors throughout his life. His commitment to making a difference in the lives of others was evident in his willingness to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
In his free time, Allen found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He took pride in maintaining a well-manicured lawn and spent countless hours riding his motorcycle through the picturesque countryside. Allen also had a green thumb and enjoyed cultivating a beautiful garden filled with vibrant flowers.
An avid outdoorsman, Allen was passionate about deer and squirrel hunting. He cherished the tranquility of nature and the thrill of the hunt. These experiences not only brought him closer to the natural world but also fostered lifelong friendships with fellow enthusiasts.
Allen's gentle nature and selflessness will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched, the beautiful gardens he cultivated, and the memories shared with loved ones.
As we say goodbye to Allen Ray Springborn, we celebrate the life of a remarkable man who made the world a better place. His memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
Allen is survived by his son, Jason Springborn; his siblings: Margaret Geddes, Joyce Sutton, Marv (Alice) Springborn, Eloda Bohland, Harlan Springborn, and Loren (Marlene) Springborn; sister-in-law, Valerie Springborn; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Springborn; son, Zack Springborn; daughter, Shannon Rae Springborn; his parents; brother, Roger Springborn; brothers-in-law: Don Geddes, Harry Sutton, and Miles Bohland.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at New Hope Methodist Church in Red Mound. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Allen will be laid to rest at Walnut Mound Cemetery with a luncheon at the church to follow.
