Andrew B. Fortun

Andrew B. Fortun “Droid”, Age 56, of Winter, Wisconsin and formerly of Viola, Wisconsin passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020. Andrew was born August 1, 1964, to Raymond “Popeye” and Dolly (Hatlan) Fortun. Andrew attended the Kickapoo Area Schools in Viola and after graduation, he moved to Spooner, Wisconsin. Andrew worked for his brother-in-law, Kenny Leckel, driving milk truck. Then, he did construction for Steve Oberholtzer and after construction, he became an over-the road truck driver with his last job being with Becker Trucking. Andrew brought adventure and laughter to all who knew him. “Oh and what stories he could tell!!!” Andrew is survived by his significant other Judi Yerkes; his son Michael Maggard; two grandsons: Glaicius Maggard and Fenris Wolf Fortun; his goddaughter Alissa Mortenson; Sisters: Connie Leckel and her children (Jeanie, Jennifer, and James), Crystal (Fortun) Kerner, Audrey (Fortun) McBriar, Andrea (Fortun) Smith and her children (Stephanie and Kristen Rush); Brothers: Greg Fortun and his son (Aric Strenke) and Bradley Fortun; Nephew Luke Fortun and other Nieces and Nephews; Cousins: Shirley Long, Bruce Hatlan, Kathleen Shear, Kathryn Anderson Michelle Salter, Mike Lang, Dean Fortun, Georgia “Bink” Fortun, Marty Fortun, Marla Fortun-Dopson, Rocky Fortun; Aunt and Uncle “Smiley” (Martin) & Ronda Fortun; Special Friends “Duffy” (Dale) Long and Todd & Sue Brady of New York and many other relatives and friends. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond & Dolly Fortun, his brother Carroll “Red” Fortun, Brother-In-Laws Kenny Leckel, Randy Rush, and Jim McBriar. Blessed be the Memory of Andrew Fortun. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, at Vosseteig Funeral Home, 203 N. State Street in La Farge. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Andrew will be laid to rest in the Viola Cemetery. Vosseteig Funeral Home in La Farge is assisting the family. 203 N.
