Anita C. Lord, April 9, 2005 Anita C. Lord, age 74, of Viroqua passed away Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Bethel Home. She had been a resident since March 11, 2005. She was born September 21, 1930, in the town of Franklin to Annial and Delia (Borgen) Sherry. She was baptized and confirmed at Franklin Lutheran Church. Anita attended Hinskt Hollow School and graduated from Viroqua High School in 1948. She graduated from Vernon County Teacher's College and had been a teacher's aide in Mrs. Ready's Kindergarten Class and later in Second Grade. Anita was also an active partner in Fabric Fare which operated for many years. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, served in the Ladies Hospital Auxiliary and was a Red Cross volunteer. Anita is survived by two sons, Mark (Suzy) Lord of Steamboat Springs, CO., John Lord of Dodgeville; two granddaughters, Heidi and Liesl Lord of Steamboat Springs CO.; two nieces, Jackie (Rick) Clegg of Rapid City, SD, and Cathy (Rod) Lewis of Marquette, IA.; six great nieces and nephews; a special friend and neighbor for over 50 years Darlene Ray and many cousins and friends.
