Annie E.C. Woodward, age 93 of Stoddard and formerly of DeSoto, died Sunday, March 2, 2008. Annie Emilie Christine Woodward, 93 passed away March 2, 2008 at Bethany Riverside Nursing Home in La Crosse where she has been a resident since 1999. Annie was born March 24, 1914 to Oscar and Marie (Zogg) Willenberg on the Willenberg home farm in the Bad Axe Valley, Township of Genoa. On June 10, 1936 Annie was united in marriage to Harold H. Woodward at St. Johns Lutheran Church Township of Genoa. Annie has been a lifetime member of St. Johns Church. After marriage they farmed on the Woodward home farm. In 1963 they moved to Rush Creek, rural Ferryville, then to DeSoto. After Harolds death in 1979 she moved to Stoddard where she lived for 20 years.She is survived by two daughters: Judith (William) Paggi of Genoa, WI; Verna (James) Fladhammer of Alamorgardo, New Mexico; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two brothers: Carl (Ellen) of La Crosse; Harold (Roberta) of Alabama; sister-in-law: Berneil; nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 1979; two grandchildren; three brothers: Arthur, Alvin "Cotton", and Howard.Blessed be her memory.A Mother is a special part of all thats precious to the heart. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Township of Genoa. Pastor Paul E. Kante will officiate with burial in German Bad Axe Cemetery, Genoa Township. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers or plants, memorial are preferred. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of DeSoto is serving the family.
