Ardelle Emma Lewison

Ardelle Emma LewisonSeptember 15, 2005 Ardelle Emma Lewison, age 90 of E7457A Lewis Lane of Viroqua, passed away Thursday morning, September 15, 2005 at Vernon Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 1, 1915 in Viroqua to Oluf and Arpha (Bakken) Thompson. Ardelle worked at the Bud store in rural Viroqua. She married Adolph "Dutch" Lewison of Viroqua in Iowa on February 18, 1933. They farmed in the Viroqua area before moving to the Lewison home farm in 1946 and farmed there until 1990. Ardelle was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Viroqua where she taught Sunday school and was active in Circle and Ladies Aide. She was a kind and loving wife, mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She is survived by two sons, Lewis (Joanne) Lewison, Leland (Jill) Lewison, and one daughter, Lana (Steve) Skrede, all of Viroqua. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren are: Steven (Sherri) Lewison and their children, Spencer, Seth, and Nathan of West Salem, Dan Lewison of La Crosse, Linda (Brad) Lebakken and their children, Trygve and Nels of West Salem, Mary (Gary) Hastings and their children, Ashlin and Jake of Mt. Horeb, LuAnn (Jim) Wissman of Madison, Mitch Lewison, Corky Lewison of Viroqua, Jon (Sarah) Skrede and their son Dalton of Middle Ridge, Chris (Amanda) Skrede and their son Sterling of Sparta, and Jenny Skrede of Viroqua. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Evie Lewison and Fern Lewison, both of Viroqua, as well as many nieces and nephews. Ardelle will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
