VIOLA Arlene Gilman, age 87, died Thursday April 21, 2016 at the Bland Bekkedahl Center for Hospice in Viroqua. M. Arlene Gilman, 87, of Viola passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Bland Bekkedal Hospice Center. She was born on July 8, 1928 and was married to Earl Gilman Jr. for 67 years. Since 1987, Arlene was a member of the Viola American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Viola United Methodist Church. Arlene enjoyed baking pies, cooking, playing cards, embroidery and her new latest interest was adult coloring books. Arlene is survived by four children: Rod (Gayle) of Viola, Ron (Sherry) of Viola, Kirk (Cheryl) of La Farge and Karol (Jamie) of Minneapolis; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grand children; two sisters; and also many other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Gilman Jr.; her parents; and one grandson. Blessed be our memory of Arlene Gilman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the Viola United Methodist Church. Pastor Larry Stegall will officiate with burial to follow in the Viola Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4-6 p.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Homes Henthorn Memorial Chapel in Viola and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
