Arnie Sherry, age 86 of Viroqua, died Wednesday September 24, 2008. Arnie Osmond Sherry, age 86, of Viroqua, died Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at his home in Viroqua. He was born on June 11, 1922 to Albert and Gladys (Christianson) Sherry. On March 29, 1944 he married Mabel Huffman, and they spent all of their married life farming in the Viroqua area. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where he had served on the church council and other committees. He was a delegate for Wisconsin Dairies for 13 years, a life member of Circle V. Riders Club, Shriners, Tri State Breeders, Farmers Union and the Eagles Club.Arnie is survived by his wife, Mabel; three sons: Duane (Linda) Sherry of Viroqua, Wis., Rodney (Yvonne) Sherry of Deforest, Wis., and Anthony (Pat) Sherry of New Berlin, Wis.; grandchildren: Jennifer Sherry, Tyler Sherry, Tabitha (Craig) Williams, and Eric Christianson; two great-grandchildren: Dominic and Kindale; two brothers: Thomas Sherry of Readstown, and Earl Sherry of Madison; step-sister: Janet Schipper of Viroqua.He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Grace Hammond and Ingrid Motzer; brother: Albert Sanford Sherry.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Viroqua. The Rev. Lindsay Paul Jordan and the Rev. Margaret Eiben Hoversten will officiate with burial in the Viroqua Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker (Hwy 56) in Viroqua.
