Arnold Meyer, 94, of Westby, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Arnold Meyer, age 94 of Westby, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015. He was born on August 4, 1920 the son of Soren and Matty (Natwick) Meyer. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945 and had been stationed in Italy, Belgium and France. Arnold was an anti aircraft gunner. On June 18, 1947 he was united in marriage to Beverly Oium. He was a farmer and enjoyed going to church. He also liked gardening and his animals. Arnold was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. He is survived by his son, Scott Meyer; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Arnold was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly on May 16, 2001; his siblings, Alice, Myrtle, John, Tilmer, Selmer, Julia, Ludvig, Martin, Sylvia, Lloyd and Leonard. Blessed be our memory of Arnold Meyer. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Westby with Pastor John Dumke officiating. Burial will be in the Our Saviors Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church on Monday.
