Arvella M. Hauge

Arvella M. Hauge, age 87, of Viroqua, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2020, at Vernon Memorial Hospital. She was born November 9, 1932, to Melvin and Kaia (Christopherson) Rudser. Arvella was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at Zion Lutheran Church. She had a patient, loving heart and took care of many of her family members. She was a strong Christian and an active member of Believer’s Fellowship Church. She married Alvin Hauge June 18, 1955. He preceded her in death in April of 1986. She was a loving mom to her three children. Arvella enjoyed reading, watching birds, and working around her farm. Survivors include her two daughters: Linda (Grant) Dekker and Sheila (Alan) Christ; four grandchildren: Kaia, Susan, Matthew and Michael; great-grandson, Ira Vincent; three siblings: Marion (Carol) Rudser, Sigurd (Marilyn) Rudser and Sonja (Lloyd) Olson; other relatives and friends. Arvella was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Alvin and her son David Hauge. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker St. in Viroqua. Visitation will be held Monday, June 15 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home. The family requests that if you are attending the visitation or service to please wear a face mask and respect social distancing. Arvella will be laid to rest at the Viroqua Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to Believers Fellowship Church. Arvella’s family would like to thank the caring staff of Vernon Memorial Hospital for the care they provided.
