Barbara Hubert

96 800x600 Barbara Hubert, age 68 of Westby, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at her home. After 8 years fighting cancer, Barbara died peacefully at home on March 6, 2012. Barbara was born March 1,1944 in Racine WI to the late George and Florence (Sauter) Hubert. Barbara loved bicycling with her friends and going to the Giants training camps as well as their games while living in California. Since moving to Wisconsin she enjoyed fishing with her family, photography, wood working and dining out with her friends. Barbara was blessed to have several close friends that she treasured. Barbara had several jobs in California, but her most rewarding was being nanny to Shannon and Cindy. She enjoyed going back to California for Shannons' 50th birthday party a couple years ago, and they have stayed friends all this time. After coming to Wisconsin she worked at Viroqua Computers & Office Supply for several years then went to BAPI in Gays Mills, where she found not only a good job, but great friends that she has treasured. Barbara is survived and will be sadly missed by her sister Joyce (Chris) House, Vancouver WA, brother Dennis Hubert & Jullie White, Westby WI, sister Rosemary & Skip Edge, Vanouver, WA; nieces: Karin ( Troy) Leffel, Camas, WA, Traci (Chris) Blevens, Chander, AZ., Amanda White, Westby; nephews: Joshua (Terra) White, Westby, Matthew (Samantha) White, Westby; great nieces: Lauren Leffel, Alexis White; great-nephews: Owen Leffel, Conner Belevans, Jordan White, Lucs and Ethan White; as well as her many dear friends in Callifornia and Wisconsin. Barbara and her family would like to thank doctors Leah Dietrich and Kristine Brueggen of Gunderson Lutheran, and all the helpfull staff with Hospice Care, who were so kind and supportive during this long battle. A special thank you to all of her friends and family that have blessed her life and brought joy durring this time. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby. Friend may call after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
