Bernald O. Dolan

Bernald O. Dolan, age 88, died on Friday, January 6, 2023. He was born on August 29, 1934, to Bliss and Hazel (Hadley) Dolan in La Farge. Bernald went to Dell School, then attended La Farge High School.

Bernald worked on farms most of his life and worked 25 years for Roger and Phyllis Gabrielson on Buckeye Ridge.

Bernald lived his whole life in the Dell area. He loved his family, his farming, and his tractors and pets. He enjoyed many things: working on vehicles, his music, and watching old movies. Bernald especially enjoyed his daily trips to Phil and Deb’s in La Farge for his morning coffee!

Bernald is survived by friends and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bliss in 1961, and Hazel in 1990; his sisters, Helen and Betty; and brothers: Burlie, Billie, Byron, and Bob.

The friends and family would like to thank Dr. Deline and the Norseland Nursing Home staff for their wonderful support and caregiving.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the La Farge Free Methodist Church. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Bernald will be laid to rest at a later date.

In lieu of flowers or plants, the family prefers memorials in Bernald’s name may be made to the La Farge Ambulance Squad or La Farge Volunteer Fire Department.
