Betty Chestelson

GAYS MILLS Elizabeth 'Betty' Ann Chestelson, age 92, joined our heavenly father on Thursday, November 17, 2016. Betty was a devout member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Gays Mills. Betty was born March 30, 1924 to Elmer and Mary Chestelson (Hahn), of Gays Mills, Betty Ann spent much of her adult life working as a waitress in La Crosse. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Sigurd and Curtis, and nephew Christopher. She is survived by a daughter, Randina Chestelson, (Talbert) of Walsenburg, Colorado, a sister, Mary (Jane) Harris of Gays Mills, and a sister-in-law, Myra Chestelson of Gays Mills, a grandson, Wade Hutchison (Carmen) of Gays Mills, two great-grandchildren, Trey Hutchison of Madison and Kylie Hutchison of Gays Mills, two nephews Sigurd Chestelson (Marsha) of Gays Mills and Leonard Harris (Barb) of Richland Center, and five nieces, Christina Dolan of Coon Valley, Cindy Krachey (Jerry) of Prairie du Chien, Deb Harris of Gays Mills, Katie Harris of Prairie du Chien, and Annette Finney (Kevin) of Prairie du Chien, and many wonderful grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Blessed be her memory. A 5:00 P.M., Saturday evening Mass at St. Marys Catholic Church in Gays Mills will be offered in memory of Betty, on New Years Eve, Saturday December 31, 2016.
