Betty J. Holtzhueter

Betty J. Holtzhueter, 86 of Sun Prairie, WI, died Monday, November 28, 2011. Betty J. Holzhueter, formerly of Marshall, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2011 with her daughter by her side, at the age of 86. She was born on August 7, 1925 in Watertown, the daughter of Edwin and Emma (Krampe) Heck. She was united in marriage to Melvin Holzhueter on June 17, 1944 in Waterloo. After residing in St. Petersburg, Florida for 21 years, they moved to Marshall in 1987. In the more recent years, she lived in Viroqua to be closer to her daughter. Betty is survived by her daughter, Carol Ward of Westby; 4 granddaughters, 10 great-grandchilden, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, siblings, and parents. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, with prayers at 2:00 pm led by Rev. Mark Schoeneck , at Hart-Vick Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery in Portland, WI.
