Betty J Johnson

Betty Jane Johnson, 84, of Gays Mills, passed away March 2, 2014, at Sannes Skogdalen, in Soldiers Grove. She was born on July 24, 1929 in Ferryville to Monroe and Elsie (Haven) Johnson. Betty graduated from Gays Mills High School in 1947 and continued her studies at cosmetology school until 1948. She lived in Madison until her retirement in September of 1996. She went to Sannes Skogdalen April of 2008. Survivors are sisters: Harriet, Marian, Joan, and Jean; brother John; 26 nieces and nephews; 46 great-nieces and nephes; and 16 great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers Judd, Jerry, James; and nephew Terry. Private family services will be held at a later date. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Gays Mills is serving the family.
