Betty Sordahl

Betty Jane Sordahl, age 81, formerly of Westby, Wisconsin, passed away on November 29, 2025, at Vernon Manor in Viroqua, Wisconsin, after a long battle with colon cancer. She was born on November 1, 1944, to Howard and Violet (Peterson) Kolbo. She got her education through the Clockmaker and Westby Schools. Afterwards, she married Alvin Sordahl from Viroqua, Wisconsin. They had three daughters: Mary, Rita, and Kay Sordahl. She enjoyed walking, reading, flowers, picnics, and especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She has survived by her daughters: Rita (Jason) Eno, and Kay Sordahl; grandchildren: BreAnna (Michael) Thomas, Fawn (Wilfred Fillback) Eno, Mystic (Frankie) Garcia Ortiz, Tristan Hughes, Henry (Davis) Straight, and Christopher and Alexander Talk; great-grandchildren: Michael Thomas III, Henry and Liam Fillback, and Frankie, Emma and Santiago Garcia Ortiz; sisters: Alice Kolbo and Linda Compton; brothers Rodger and John Kolbo as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Violet Kolbo; brother, Harvey Kolbo; sisters, Beverly Kolbo and Vivian Sordahl; husband, Alvin Sordahl; daughter, Mary Hughes; nephews, Phillip Compton, and Larry Jacobson; sisters-in-law, Martine (Sordahl) Jacobson and Shirley Sordahl.

In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.
