Beverly Briggs, 69, of Westby, died Sunday, March 1, 2015. Beverly E. Briggs, 69, of Westby, died March 1, 2015, at the BlandBekkedal Center for Hospice in Viroqua. She was born November 19, 1945 in Viroqua to Perl and Mildred Owen (Parker). She graduated from Viola high school in 1963. She moved to Illinois in 1963 where she met and married her husband Robert Biggs, May 9, 1964. The couple lived in Belvidere, IL until June 2009, when they moved to Westby, WI. Her favorite things to do involved dancing, gardening and bird watching. Beverly is survived by her husband, Robert Briggs; daughter, Tammy (Robert) Schmidt of Cashton; son, Craig (Ann) Briggs of Desoto, MO; four granddaughters: Breanna Schmidt of Cashton, Cortney Briggs of MO, Nicole Briggs of NC, and Jennie Javenkoski of Superior, WI; and two great-grandchildren: Alleah and Hunter. Beverly was preceded in death by her mother Mildred Owen, father, Perl Owen, sister, Eva Nida and sister Dorothy VanFleet. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Bland Bekkedal Center for Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby. Bonita Dorschied will officiate with burial to follow in the Viroqua Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 10a.m till the time of service at 11.
