Beverly Jean Kuhnke

Beverly Jean Kuhnke, age 93, of Ferryville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. Beverly was born on April 21, 1931, in Richland Center to Harold and Sarah (Walling) Hulbert. She married Merritt Kuhnke in 1949. She spent most of her life around the Burlington and De Soto, WI areas. She worked at Nestle Company for 23 years. She and Merritt had 7 children together. Beverly enjoyed scratching off lottery tickets, going to the casino, playing Euchre, traveling with Merritt, spending a lot of time with her family as much as possible, and always hoped to win the Publisher’s Clearing House sweepstakes. She loved to talk about the good times and always had a story to tell.

Survivors include her children, Randy Kuhnke and Brenda Ziebell; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Sue Kuhnke; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Merritt; her infant daughter, Robin; daughters, Linda Dhinsa, and Laurie Kuhnke; her sons, Ricky Kuhnke and Ronald Kuhnke; her granddaughter, Robin Blackhawk; her sisters, Barb Sanchez, and Betty (LaVerne) Kuhnke, and her brother, Alton Hulbert.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home in Viroqua. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Beverly will be laid to rest at Walnut Mound Cemetery. Online Condolences may be expressed at www.vossfh.com.
