Beverly June Pettit

Beverly June Pettit, age 90, of Gays Mills, died Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua, WI. She was born on January 3, 1932, at home in Crawford County to Clyde and Mae Pearl (Hanson) Dalton. Beverly graduated from Gays Mills High School in 1951. Bev married Kenneth Pettit on January 12, 1952, at the First Congregational Church in Gays Mills. She was a lifetime member of the Congregational Church and the Ladies Aid, serving as president for several years. Bev and Kenny owned Pettit and Sons Station, Apple Land Motel, and Apple Land Sports Supply. Bev is survived by two children: Mike (Kim) Pettit and Bob (Patti) Pettit; six grandchildren: Greg (Sanna) Pettit, Dawn Pettit, Cody Pettit, Jimmy Paradiso, John Paradiso, and Jessica (Jimmy) Dreier; seven great-grandchildren: Carroll Hopkins III, Stella and Noa Pettit, Maddi and Izzi Dreier, and Alivia and Jase Paradiso. She is further survived by her niece, Karen (Jerry) Mezera and nephew, Randy (Sue) Martin and family. Bev was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenny; and twin sister, Barbara Martin. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bev’s memory can be made to the Ocooch Mountain Rescue or the Gays Mills Fire Department. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Vosseteig Funeral Home in Gays Mills. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
