Blaine Allen HallMarch 5, 2005 Blaine Allen Hall, age 88 of Westby, died Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua. He was born on November 20, 1916 in the Township of Bergen, Vernon County, Wisconsin to George W. and Laura L. (Rick) Hall. On October 5, 1940 he was united in marriage to Ida Olette Oium in Waukon, Iowa. Together they farmed on Geona Ridge and Newton Valley until their retirement, when they moved to rural Westby. Ida died on February 14, 1995 at the age of 74. For the last several years, Blaine has worked at Norskedalen in Timber Coulee as a tour guide and assisted in many other ways. He enjoyed driving his miniature red car in area parades and at one time converted a Studebaker into a camper in which he and Ida enjoyed traveling. Blaine is survived by one daughter, Karen (Edwin) Tyler of Twin Lakes, Wi; two grandchildren: Timothy Jon (Katherine) Tyler of Beloit, Wis., Tammy Jo (Jeffrey) Coose who are missionaries in the Ukraine; three great-grandchildren: Mikaela, Josiah, and Kalyn Coose. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Blaine Allen Hall, age 88 of Westby, died Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua.
