Bob Kraft, age 97, of rural Westby, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025, at Vernon Manor in Viroqua. He was born on February 17, 1928, in Milwaukee to Paul and Rose Kraft. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked at the Milwaukee County Transit System until his retirement. He was involved in WHOA (Wisconsin Horse Owner’s Alliance), The Ranch in Menomonee Falls, WI, Circus Parade in Milwaukee, and was active in Viroqua with Wild West Days. Bob was passionate about his horses and spending time with family.
Survivors include his children, Sandy, Debra (Mike) Schroeder, Holly (Gary) Borum, Bobby Kraft, and Vicky; 26 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; the love of his life and best friend, Joan Kraft; his daughter, Alice; and his sister, Delores.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 3-6 p.m. at the Wild West Days grounds. Online condolences may be expressed at www.vossfh.com.
