Bonnie A. Christianson, age 63 of Genoa, died Friday, February 9, 2007, Bonnie A. Christianson, age 63 of Genoa, died Friday, February 9, 2007, at her home. She was born on July 21, 1943, to Alfred and Gladys (Egland) Boettcher. She attended high school in Houston, MN and graduated from Central High School in LaCrosse. Bonnie had worked at Nelson Muffler in Viroqua for nearly 20 years prior to her retirement due to her health. On July 20, 1990, she was united in marriage to Merlin Christianson. Bonnie was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, and Eagles Club. In addition to her husband, Merlin, she is survived by three sons: Doug (Colleen) Olson of Pleasanton, CA, Dan (Kris) Lee of Austin, MN, and Greg (LeVania) Lee of Shoreview, MN; two step-children: Susan (John) Barreau of Richland Center and Steven (Michelle) Christianson of Pearl City, IL; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; three brothers-in-law: Jim Hornby, Verlin (Teresa) Christianson, and Carl (Deb) Christianson; one sister-in-law, Doris (Alfred) Ray; her aunt, Joy Fitting; and her cat, Squeaky (Bonnie loved cats!) She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Allen Boettcher; three sisters: Mary Grunke, Nancy Hornby, and Sharon Witt; one brother-in-law, Wayne Witt; sister-in-law, Joan Boettcher; and her mother-in-law, Darleen Christianson. She left us quickly, her thoughts unknown. But, she left memories, we are proud to own. So treasure her Lord, in your garden of rest, For as you know, she is one of the best. Dear Lord, give her a message, in heaven above. Tell her we miss her, and give her our love. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker (Hwy 56) in Viroqua with burial in the Viroqua Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Tuesday after 10:00 a.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home in Viroqua.
