Brenda Lee Zegiel

Brenda Lee Zegiel, age 60, of Gays Mills, died Friday, February 14, 2020. Brenda Lee Zegiel, age 60, of Gays Mills, passed away with the love of her life beside her on Valentines Day, Feb. 14, 2020. She was born December 12, 1959, in Geneva, Illinois. She met her husband Albert in Illinois and they were married on November 24, 1979. The couple moved to Gays Mills in 1990 and owned and operated Farm Pride Bakery. She was a passionate gardener, enjoyed scrapbooking all of her memories with family and friends. She also raised many miniature pinschers. Brenda was a true friend who was very open and caring. No person was a stranger to her and she extended her hospitality graciously to everyone. Her laugh could fill an entire room and strived to find the beauty in everything. She served Gays Mills in numerous ways to include EMS, a CNA, delivered flowers for Village Greenhouse, serving baked goods to Dane County Farmers Market, and helping in the relief efforts after flooding. She supported the growth of this community and never strayed from her loyalty to Gays Mills. Survivors include her husband, Albert Zegiel; four children: Israel, Jessica (significant other Nathan Hallada), Adam, and Timothy; her parents: Charlene Goodman and Allan (Laurel) Eason; siblings: Deborah Watson, Carrie Nichols, Stanley Eason and Robert Goodman; other relatives and friends. Brenda was preceded in death by her daughter Devvra Keyes. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020, at 4:00 P.M. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 325 Sunset Ridge Ave, Hwy 131 & Sunset Ridge Ave in Gays Mills. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Albert would like to extend a special thank you to special friends The Freaks of Nature, Jim and Gail, Ramone and Therese.
