Listen to Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of beloved father, grandfather, and brother, Brian L. Bodenstein, who left us on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the age of 62.

Brian was born to Wolfgang and Brita Bodenstein in Madison, Wisconsin. Brian lived a life defined by hard work, love for his family, and an unwavering dedication to the things — and people — that mattered most.

Brian was known for his tireless work ethic. Whether he was out on the job, at the shop, coaching his sons in all their sports growing up, being a big part in tractor pulls, fixing up vehicles and houses, or working on the pulling tractor, he poured his heart into everything he did. His hands were always busy, but his heart was always with his family.

He took pride in his sons, guiding them with patience, strength, and quiet wisdom. In recent years, nothing brought him greater joy than watching his grandchildren grow, laugh, and carry forward the same spirit of family and love that meant so much to him.

Brian’s legacy will live on through his children Brandon (Morgan) of Highland, WI, Blake (Madalene) of Franklin, Tennessee, and Bailey (Harleigh) of Highland; his grandchildren, Addyson & Axel; his brother Bruce of Algonquin, IL and his sister, Barb of Arena, WI; several special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Including all who were lucky enough to know his generous, hardworking, and devoted nature.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Wolfgang and Brita Bodenstein; and his sister-in-law, Josephine Bodenstein.

A Prayer Service for Brian will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Vosseteig Funeral Home in Gays Mills. Burial will follow at the Mook Cemetery in Rolling Ground, WI. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Online Condolences may be expressed at www.vossfh.com.

A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at Rolling Ground Bar & Grill in Soldiers Grove which is right next to Mook Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of the man whose steady hands and loving heart shaped so many lives.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in loving memory of Brian L. Bodenstein and the family asks that donations be made in Brian’s honor — a fitting tribute to his lifelong love of family, community, and hard work.

Though his presence will be deeply missed, Brian’s love, strength, and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
