Brian Larson, 63, of St. Paul, MN, died Friday, October 26, 2018. Brian Odell Larson, age 63, of St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away October 26, 2018. He was born May 18, 1955, son of Alva (Lindevig) and Elbin Larson. Brian was baptized in Westby Coon Prairie Church by Rev. Aasen. He attended confirmation classes and was confirmed in Cambridge, Minnesota. Even though Brian coped with cerebral palsy from birth he still found so many things to celebrate. Brian was employed at Merrick Industries for 27 year during which he was named employee of the month several times and in 1999 was honored as "Employee of the Year." He retired in 2017 with a huge party and many hugs. There was farming in Brians blood and he knew when it was time for evening chores. He enjoyed everything related to farming including milking and feeding calves. He often helped Uncle Olaf with milking. Other favorites included fishing, going for rides and keeping track of the weather. Brian enjoyed following and attending Minnesota sports teams including the Vikings, Twins, Saints and Wild. Brian is the loving brother to Beverly (Charlie) LaVeen, Diane (Bill) Schreier and Luann (Curt) Dumdie. Family gatherings were frequent and since music was very important to Brian, there was always dancing. Time spent with Bob, Debbie and Pete was always unpredictable and memorable. When we added in the grand nephews and nieces with Brian in the center, a good time was guaranteed. Brian has taught everyone close to him how to enjoy life; he instilled patience and had an appreciation of a good story and good humor. Laughing came easy for Brian. Brian will live on in our hearts and memories. Funeral Service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Country Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. Pastor Craig Simonsen will officiate with burial to follow in the Coon Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 12:30pm till the time of service at 1.In lieu of plants or flowers, memorials may be directed to the Phoenix Residences Foss House. Online Condolences may be offered at www.VossFH.com. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
