Bruce Evers

Bruce Evers, 67, of Gays Mills, died Thursday, November 19, 2015. Bruce Francis Evers, born May 26, 1948 in Rhinelander, WI, passed away November 19, 2015 in the presence of his family. Bruce was a 1966 graduate of Rhinelander Union High School. It was there that he met his wife of 48 years, Lynda Marlene (Somerville) Evers. Bruce served in the US Army from 1967 until 1970. In1970, Bruce and Lynda moved to Wausau WI where Bruce began a lengthy career in banking. Bruce left banking in 1988 and began working in the Insurance and Financial industries until his passing. Bruce enjoyed his 24 years of owning his farm in Gays Mills WI where he most recently resided. Bruce especially enjoyed the company of and spending time with his grandchildren at the family farm for the last several years. Bruce is survived by his wife Lynda, his son Todd & Nicole (Lester) Evers, grandchildren Regan, Lexis, Kaleb, LillyAnn Evers, and Tyson and Samantha Gilbertson who all reside in Gays Mills, WI and is also survived by his sister Lynnette (Rhinelander, WI) and brother James (Elgin, IL) and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond & Rose Evers, two sisters and one brother. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in Gays Mills. Fr. Zacharie Beya will officiate. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Saturday from 1 pm till the time of service at 2. In lieu of plant or flowers, memorials may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project, the American Cancer Society, and the American Diabetes Association.
