C. Paul Ellefson

C. Paul Ellefson June 17, 2005 C. Paul Ellefson, age 72, of Viroqua died Friday evening, June 17, 2005 at his home. He was born on May 31, 1933 in Viroqua to Odean and Zaleme (McHenry) Ellefson. He graduated from Viroqua High School and served four years in the U.S. Air Force. On May 18, 1957 he was united in marriage to Geraldine Olson. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Viroqua, having served on various committees. Paul worked in many capacities at the family business: Ellefson Lime and Rock. Paul enjoyed camping and playing cribbage. In addition to his wife, Gerry, Paul is survived by his mother, Zaleme Ellefson of Viroqua; four children: Christi (David) Reed of Viroqua, Eric (Pam) Ellefson of Eden Prairie, MN, Hans Ellefson of Durham, NC, and Heidi (Andy) Gruse of Neenah; six grandchildren: Leslie (Mike) Henrickson, Jessica (Chris) Huschka, Benjamin Gruse, Matthew Gruse, Elaine Ellefson, and Aaron Ellefson; one sister: Jean Ellefson of Viroqua; one sister-in-law, Janet (Bud) Jacobson; one niece, Bonnie Maloney (Mike Murro); one nephew, Jim Jacobson; three great nieces: Kari, Shannon and Kelli; and two great-nephews: Nate and Riley. He was preceded in death by one brother, David, in infancy; his father, Odean, on October 30, 1990; and one nephew, John Jacobson.
